TITLE IX Anti-Discrimination Policy

 


Team Success – A School of Excellence complies with Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, which states that “ except for provided elsewhere in the part,  no persons shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any academic, extracurricular, research, occupational training, or other education program or activity operated by a recipient which receives …Federal financial assistance....”.

 

No student at Team Success shall, on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, marital status, age, religion, or any other basis prohibited by law, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination or harassment under any educational programs, activities, services, or in any policies or practices by the Team Success.  

 

Team Success does not discriminate any employee on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation, transgender status, or gender identity), disability (including HIV, AIDS, or sickle cell trait), pregnancy, marital status, age (except as authorized by law), ancestry, genetic information, which are classes protected by State and/or Federal law (collectively, "protected classes") in its programs and activities, including employment opportunities. It is the legal obligation and the policy of Team Success to employ only those persons who are best qualified, with or without reasonable accommodations.


Any person who believes they have been discriminated against or has been harassed by an employee, student, or other third party, who is subject to control of Team Success, is encouraged to use the appropriate grievance procedures set forth in policy and contact the compliance officer. The report may be filed at any time in person, my mail, by phone, or email using the contact information listed for the Title IX Coordinator. 


Team Success has appointed a Compliance Officer/Title IX Coordinator who is responsible for investigating any complaint alleging noncompliance with Title IX. The person is:

USDA Non-Discrimination Policy
 
In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.
 
Program information may be made available in languages other than English. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication to obtain program information (e.g., Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language), should contact the responsible state or local agency that administers the program or USDA’s TARGET Center at (202) 720-2600 (voice and TTY) or contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339.
 
To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/ad-3027.pdf from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
